AFC Urgent Care is Hiring a Medical Receptionist Near Queens, NY

Medical Receptionist

Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow

Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or similar setting preferred
- Familiarity with phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations, such as emergencies or upset patients, with professionalism and empathy
- Proficiency in computer skills, including electronic medical record systems

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $17.59 - $21.18 per hour
